(More customer reviews)Cabinet slide out trash can system is very high quality and works remarkably well (indeed, better than the unit that was originally supplied with the cabinet, which broke after just 4 years). Relatively easy to install with just drill for pilot holes, Philips scewdriver, and tape measure. It was supplied with reasonably clear installation instructions, including a short cut installation system for easily determining precisly where to install screws in the bracket attached to cabinet door. Product allowed flexibility for use with different style cabinet doors. Nice feature: small storage bin at rear behind main waste can provides storage space for extra bags, twist ties, and large rubber bands (which we use to hold bag onto can). Also -- this unit provides for full slide extension (the original unit on our relatively high-end cabinets did not).
Very minor nit -- the unit shipped missing (I thought) 2 installation screws, but these were easily obtained at local hardware store. There were enough screws to attach the door brackets but with only one screw on each side -- the design seemed to call out for one more screw on each side so I got and installed 2 more screws.
Suggestion -- for installation in a narrow cabinet, mfgr could supply a disposable support (heavby cardboard?) to temporarily hold the rear of the sliding rail at the right height while screwing in screws in rear bracket -- as you cannot get both your arms in to the rear of the cabinet (one to operate screwdriver and the other to hold the rail at the right height). (Or cut one yourself from scrap wood - it would make the job even easier than it already is.)
