(More customer reviews)I bought this bin to convert an old cabinet to have a pull out trash. The install instructions were good and the quality of the product is excellent (very sturdy and good quality wood). However, It is quite stiff to open. It takes a bit of force to both pull it out and to close it due to their "patented" soft close and soft open design. There is a single hydrolic piston that is angled along the bottom, which causes the initial opening to meet with some resistance, it is smoother once it is half open to all the way open, then again closing it is stiff until you get half closed, then it "self closes" very slowly. I almost want to take out the piston and just have easy smooth gliding, even if it does close a bit harder. I am getting used to it, so we'll see...
