This is important in this day of identity theft. The bags have drawstrings that you should draw tight and then tie; but I recommend that you also tie the very top part of the actual black bag itself for extra strength so it definitely won't break when you take out the garbage.
Hefty lives up to its name as being extra strong. I tried several store brands but none of them were as thick and durable as Hefty. In my opinion Hefty is the brand to buy. The 33 gallon capacity makes these garbage bags great for both families and single people.
The bags are economical, too. At the Amazon price they cost roughly 35 cents each and that's a good deal especially because a bag can usually handle two days' worth of garbage.
Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)Glad has introduced the ForceFlex replacement for this bag, and now is the only version sold at my local Sam's Club. The newer bag is far more resilient to sharp objects and heavier items but comes with some downsides. It has an odd feel to it, a bit powdery and rubbery, but not a big thing. More annoying is the higher price. Most annoying is closing the drawstring. On the old bag, simply pulling up caused the opening to bunch and seal nicely for tying. On the newer ForceFlex, the drawstrings seem to rub against the rubbery texture and consequently the bag is much harder to seal. Not appreciated in an everyday garbage bag. Unless your personal trash is sharp and heavy, skip the annoying ForceFlex and get these very simple, excellent bags.

If you've ever worked in on office, these are just like the clear plastic trash can liners that you would have in an office. We have several small waste baskets in our bedrooms and bathroom and these fit them all. Also if the waste can is decrative you can see the can better than with white plastic bags. At almost 3 cents a bag it can't be beat for household use. The bags come in rolls, just throw a roll in the bottom of the waste basket and your good to go.

(More customer reviews)I do like the looks of the wood white trash bin but I have a problem with it, I can't put a garbage bag in it! I need a container in it to put the garbage bag in. The way it is with the hinged lid you can't put a bag in and get it to stay. It would not even work for paper as you would have to pick it up (heavy to turn upside down) to dump it into a garbage bag. The inside is narrow and tall and I can't find anything that will fit in it. Not a good choice for me to use for garbage, I wish I would have know that I couldn't put garbage in it before I bought it. I had one I liked very well but it was old, the lid lifted off and I could put a bag in, then put the lid back on and it was great. This one looked just like mine but lid doesn't lift off so you need a inside container for it. If you can help with this problem I'd be glad to hear from you.

(More customer reviews)This ashtray works pretty good. It snuffs lit cigs when they are put into the hole at the top. I suppose there just isnt enough air in the unit to keep them burning. Plus I like the height of the thing. The other astrays Ive seen make you bend over to use them. It is also very easy to take apart and put back together. It snaps. No screws, or threads at all. It also has a small galvanized pail that holds all the old butts. Just grab the handle and dump in the trash. Clean and easy.
It also sheds water pretty good. I had to add sand to the inside to keep wind from moving it though. It was too light. Other than that we like it a lot as it keeps the area outside the door clean. Highly recommended.

This is one great little outdoor ashtray. It is made of extemely tough plastic which you would think would melt with hot cig butts going in. But no! It has a METAL bucket in the bottom to catch the butts. It doesn't need sand either as this design snuffs the butt out by restricting air to it.This ashtray stands 43" tall and has a 12" wide base making it easy to place just about anywhere you need it. Since I am always concerned about litter box odor I thought the Litter Locker looked like a useful product for isolating waste without running constantly to the trash can in the garage. Similar in concept to a Diaper Genie, the Litter Locker turns out to be precisely what we need. It fits neatly by the side of the litter box, making frequent scooping (you need to use clumping litter) a breeze.
Even with three cats, we only need to empty the Litter Locker once every 3-4 days. I was concerned about how long the refills would last, but we are still on the first one and it's a month now since we started using it. We've had to take some stuff straight to the garage but 90% of the box contents has gone through the Litter Locker and we are just now getting to the end of the first refill cartridge.
The convenience of not having to go the garage in my PJs and slippers to dispose of the box waste every morning is wonderful! Since it's so easy to keep the box clean we can use just one box, so the savings on litter and plastic liners and disposal bags more than pays for Litter Locker refills.
The only reason I don't give the Litter Locker 5 stars (I would give it 4.75 if I could) is that the sides are a bit flimsy and it can be a little awkward to get a very full load out of it. However, it's completely sanitary, and even if I let it get too full it's not messy or disgusting to change. All the parts can easily be taken apart and washed if necessary - a very important feature. The bag is strong enough to hold the waste with leaking yet flexible enough to tie off easily for disposal.
The directions are great! There are two pages with pictures, which may look a bit overwhelming when unpacking it, but it's really easy to set up, use, and refill. The directions cover absolutely everything, but do it once and you don't need them again. It's a simple assembly that goes together very logically.
So ... one cat or a dozen, apartment or huge house, the Litter Locker is a great way to keep the place clean, sanitary and odor-free.

(More customer reviews)I was hoping that the tall recycle bin would be the same height as the 13 gal waste basket in the kitchen so that I could have a garbage/recycle center that would have the tilt out doors for three bins. I measured the space, and knew that it would be close, but they are larger than a 13 gal waste basket, so the single waste basket center wouldn't close correctly. I'll need to either continue looking for a mid-sized recycle bin, or make the waste center a bit taller. The bins are great though, because we go through a lot of cans, and the standard size wasn't large enough.

(More customer reviews)This pull out shelf is of very high quality. The two large bins (included) do require alot of vertical space, but are worth it - fewer trips to the outdoor garbage can. We use the back bin only for recycling. That allowed us to move our city recycle bin away from our home and out next to the outdoor garbage can. We simple pull out the back bin and dump it about once per week.
One word of warning... Don't be fooled that you will be able to squeeze in a small drawer above the bin installation - you will end up doing what is in the picture - not because you couldn't squeeze it in below a drawer - but I guarantee the you will not be able to pull out the back bin if you have any drawers (with a drawer pull) above it.
