(More customer reviews)this can arrived with the lid hinge already broken on one side but since the foot pedal still raised the lid effectively, i foolishly kept it. months later the other side of the hinge broke rendering the foot pedal useless to open the lid. in addition, this can will "walk" backwards across your floor even when loaded with trash. and if it walks itself back up against a wall, the hinge will become obstructed, will not operate smoothly and it will scratch your wall or cupboard or whatever is behind it. the can looks good and the idea of it is good, but is either designed poorly and/or is constructed of inferior materials. it is NOT worth your time or money.
