(More customer reviews)Another reviewer built this in an hour, and I doff my hat to him. It took me about three hours. I have never been known as a methodical follower of directions, and this was definitely part of my problem. Every time I went wrong, I went back to the instructions and could determine the error of my ways. Everything was there on the (many many sheets of ) paper. It was just kind of, um, obscure. The instructions are not exactly laid out step by step. It is more like a diagram with a few steps on it, and on the picture it looks like they all happen simultaneously. There are no warnings where the manufacturere says - MAKE SURE you use the side with the larger holes or DON'T try to put the camlocks in before the screws. That kind of stuff helps me. Because I had to go backwards several times. In the end, I was proud of my finished piece and happy with the purchase. The instructions could be better for people who don't do stuff like this all the time.

We had some older Burlington Wicker hampers that have held up exceptionally well so I hope that these new ones will have the same life-span. The only reason that I did not give it a 5-star rating is because the lid of the hamper isn't as well constructed as the existing hampers that we already own. Those hampers are over 18 years old.

(More customer reviews)This is good for sorting laundry, especially if you're single or a small family. An extra large load in our washer is 1 1/2 of the sections, as opposed to just 1. It's made of seagrass and the odor was so obnoxious, like being in a barn full of hay, I'm afraid it would make allergic individuals sneeze constantly. I even sat it outside in full sun with no change in the odor. I used polyurethane on it to stop the stink. It also couldn't handle much abuse either. As it folds flat, I tied some jute strings to the bottom of the frame to help reinforce it. It doesn't take up much space and with it closed I even have a small workspace.
