I love the idea of the "touchless" trash can - especially with two kids at home! But this product has a few limitations.
First, the lid is hard to seat correctly on the can. It was fine at first, but it got progressively more difficult with use. If it's not on properly, the lid doesn't open.
Second, the majority of the lid is cheap plastic. It is attached by screws through two small plastic "c" shapes at the side. One of the sides is broken now (we've had it for 9 months) and the lid is now non-functional. And not replaceable... I can't find a new one anywhere.
So, I'd spend the extra $20 and get the newer/fancier iTouchless NX model. In fact, that's what I'm going to do since we can't use this one anymore!
