I've had this trashcan for over a year now. It is a workhorse and the click-top works GREAT. That is, until I accidentally knocked a spring out of it cleaning it.
I looked everywhere for a replacement spring with no success. Finally, it occurred to me to write the company and explain my predicament - I didn't want to replace the entire garbage can, which was still in great condition, for the sake of one tiny little spring.
The company promptly sent me replacement springs, no questions asked. What a great response from a company that is ecologically responsible enough to create non-disposable items they can send replacement parts for, and who is obviously more concerned with keeping customers happy with their quality merchandise than creating bigger profit margins and more plastic for landfills. YAY, Sterilite! You have gained a customer for life.
