(More customer reviews)Step on the peddle, the lid flips up quickly. Relase the peddle, the lid goes back down quickly. The inner plastic can is designed to work with Simplehuman 10L garbage bags. There's essentially no exposed garbage can once the bags are in place. Simple to remove the plastic can, stretch the bag over the can, replace, and voila, good to go for 10 more liters (about 3 gallons) of trash.
This garbage can is rugged, well built, and well, simple.
This can pretty much only uses empty grocery bags as a trash liner. There are two special recesses in the plastic can that hold the handles back and support the bag. It's an ingenious system. Perfect for using up plastic grocery bags.
