It was a perfect fit for our existing cabinet and installation was easy (that is based on me watching my husband install it without hearing any superlatives). The self closing system is a great feature as are the heavy duty aluminum slides - you can't tell the difference when it's fully loaded with trash and heavy recyclables. The only regret I have is that we should have done this a long time ago! Now we just need to train ourselves to stop going to the spot in the kitchen where we used to keep the old trash can.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product direct from Amazon in Medium Oak. I was hesitant to purchase furniture online "sight unseen" but it looked nice, so I gave it a shot. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this piece. It is solid wood with quality sliders and hardware. There are many nice add-ins that come with the product, such as a knife block, knife drawer, spice rack, silverware trays, etc. The granite insert is nice, too. No cheaping out here. It has held up very well over the past year. This kitchen cart is definitely a bargain when you consider the price of the pressboard stuff sold at major retailers for close the same price. I get many compliments on the kitchen cart in our home and would highly recommend it to friends.

(More customer reviews)The cart took a little doing to assemble. It was not extremely complicated but required a little time and so little head scratching.
I have since given it some abuse and it has stood up!
I did not attach (bolts through the bottom) the butcher block, instead I left it loose so I could remove it to clean it. (It sits on a number of hidden metal posts that keep it in place.) I am a brute to my counter tops and knew I would make a mess.
The wheel locks are nice and work. THe wheels work well even on the crazy tile I have in my kitchen.
The appearance is very nice and the feel of it is sturdy and quality.
I have all the shelf space filled and it is very handy.
I have not put a heavy load on the cart so I can not speak of that.
I would recommend it. I feel it is a well designed cart.

(More customer reviews)This pull out shelf is of very high quality. The two large bins (included) do require alot of vertical space, but are worth it - fewer trips to the outdoor garbage can. We use the back bin only for recycling. That allowed us to move our city recycle bin away from our home and out next to the outdoor garbage can. We simple pull out the back bin and dump it about once per week.
One word of warning... Don't be fooled that you will be able to squeeze in a small drawer above the bin installation - you will end up doing what is in the picture - not because you couldn't squeeze it in below a drawer - but I guarantee the you will not be able to pull out the back bin if you have any drawers (with a drawer pull) above it.

(More customer reviews)This is an OK bin. It serves its purpose but for $118 plus tax and shipping I was expecting a higher quality product. It's pretty easy to assemble but it's all made of pressed wood and laminate and the whole thing is held together with wood dowels and glue. There are no screws or bolts holding any major pieces together so once it's assembled don't move it around too much or lift by the top. It's nice looking though and if it were cheaper (say less than $70) it would be worth purchasing.

We saw other Rev-A-Shelf products at Home Depot with different configurations, but they were all plastic, and with limited space below the sink none of them were as efficient as we would have liked. We had just spent several months remodeling our house and had a brand new kitchen. Our garbage container was already under the sink, but we thought it would be nice to have a container for recyclables out of sight rather than stacking cans and bottles on the counter until we got around to taking them out to the garage.
So rather than buying something that was close to what we wanted, I did a google search and found the full product lineup here on amazon. Because the containers are front to back, it takes up little of the under sink area, a very efficient use of space. We use the larger container in the back for garbage, and the smaller container in the front for recyclables. The front container fills up faster and does need to be taken out frequently, but you just pull the unit out, and each container lifts out separately with its own handle, so that's not a problem.
The black and stainless steel looks great, and fits perfectly with our new kitchen with SS appliances and black granite countertops - much nicer and more durable than plastic.

SIMPLEHUMAN KT1013 Upright Grocery Bag Holder Review

(More customer reviews)I used to have literally hundreds of plastic grocery bags in my kitchen, stuffed into an even bigger grocery bag. (I use about a bag a day to collect and dispose of the waste in my cats' litter box.) I have been upgrading my kitchen and apartment, and decided I needed a more streamlined, attractive way to deal with the bags.
I was optimistic about this device, but it's not a perfect solution. I didn't count the bags I put in, but it does seem to hold a lot. However, I haven't yet determined the best way to insert the bags so that when I pull one out of the dispenser, I don't end up with several at a time. Also, taking out a bag is not always simple -- sometimes a bag comes out easily, other times I really have to wrestle with it.
In addition, my bag holder arrived partially disassembled. There are three main parts to the holder -- the black plastic bottom, the black plastic top piece, and the rounded stainless steel sides. One of the tabs that ensured that the black top was securely installed was not popped in -- consequently, the steel sides were not held in place by the top, so sharp edges were exposed. And they are sharp!
Fortunately, I was able to unscrew the black top, reinstall it so all the tabs were in place, and squeeze the metal sides back into place so the edges were covered. However, remedying this was a rather unpleasant experience, although I am pleased that it was remedy-able at all!
Overall, a good solution, but not a great one.
