(More customer reviews)This pull out shelf is of very high quality. The two large bins (included) do require alot of vertical space, but are worth it - fewer trips to the outdoor garbage can. We use the back bin only for recycling. That allowed us to move our city recycle bin away from our home and out next to the outdoor garbage can. We simple pull out the back bin and dump it about once per week.
One word of warning... Don't be fooled that you will be able to squeeze in a small drawer above the bin installation - you will end up doing what is in the picture - not because you couldn't squeeze it in below a drawer - but I guarantee the you will not be able to pull out the back bin if you have any drawers (with a drawer pull) above it.

The bins pull out easily, nice and smooth on the fully extendable tracks. This way you don't have to remove the first bin, to take out the one in the rear. The bins are nice and sturdy.

(More customer reviews)I generally love Seventh Generation products. It feels good to buy products that are environmentally friendly, from a company that is responsible. However, these trash bags are not their best item. They are thin and rip easily. I use them only in our diaper pail. (We use Seventh Generation diapers as well, which I highly recommend!) The bags will hold a medium heavy load, as long as you don't have a lot of sharp edges in the bag. The best part about these bags is knowing that they are made from recycled plastic, which is good for our landfills.

(More customer reviews)I am a proud cheakskate - some call me frugal or cautious, but I know I what I am. We had been using two cheap, thin, falling apart wire frame pull-out waste containers for about two years. I remember paying about $15 each at Wal-Mart. When I just couldn't take the weekly re-assembly (required every time we removed the trash bags), I knew there had to be something much better. Boy was I shocked when I started comparing prices! My frustration finally overcame my nature and I bit the bullet and made the purchase.
What a difference! Construction is very solid and the full extension slides glide with little effort. The trash bins are held firmly in place by the supports. Installation was extremly simple, consisting of nothing more than snapping the wire frame in place and attaching to the cabinet with four screws. Emptying the trash is now so much easier - no need to remove the bag, just take the whole container.
Pros:
Solid construction, full extension glides, came with trash bins, will last for years, waste bins are easily inserted and removed. This is a high quality product.
Cons:
A little pricey, no handle to pull out bins - we end up having to grab the top of the trash can to pull out.
Recomendation: if you are looking for a pull-out waste bin, and don't mind paying a little more for much higher quality, this is a great product for you.

(More customer reviews)I just received this trash can, and it does seem to be as nice as they say, but it is not true that "the slim profile hinge allows it to fit close against the wall," as the product description states. The hinge projects about an inch from the back, but to keep the top from banging the wall, or to be able to use the locked-open position, the can has to be another 3/4 inch further away from the wall. PLUS, the back of the can is curved, so the back corners are about 3 inches away from the wall, making it appear (especially in my small kitchen) that the can is floating out into the room.
I will have to go to the store to see if I can find any trash cans that fit better; if not I will need to put some kind of block between the can and the wall so it won't inch back into a range where the top will be banging.
Update-- I got this one, which fits flush against the wall:

I put the thin 'produce' plastic bags in this and toss all my veggie cuttings and eggshells and stuff in here and then toss the bag when it gets full or after a few days.
