RSVP International Bamboo Compost Pail 4.5-qt. Review

(More customer reviews)The fist time I tried to pickup the plastic insert/bucket the handle pulled off and now continuously does so. The bamboo is coming apart at the seems. Not what I would expect for $50. This compost pail would not be a bad deal if it were $20, but for almost $50 the quality just isn't there. I'm thinking about retuning it.

(More customer reviews)Conceptually, this item should be a godsend. Practically, it is of marginal benefit. After nabbing an item, its difficult removing the item without dropping it due to the "Nabbers" length. The shorter (36") option may be more practical for household use.
Next, the end grasping mechanism is made of hard rubber. The prongs are straight making it difficult to grasp round or smaller items (1-2-3" in diameter). The inner grasping mechanism is curved but again, its made of hard rubber that makes me nervous about grasping bottles or cans with it. Of course, the "Nabber" comes with a variety of additional cost items that add to its potential uses. To its credit, the "Nabber" is well made of quality materials. Considering there are less expensive options available, you may want to check around to assist you in making an informed purchase decision.

I have been using these bags for a couple of years and they're excellent. I've never had one break; they're very strong. What wins the day for me is the gripper feature. It really works and saves the mess of a bag being pulled down by a heavy object, getting too full, etc. Also, the convenience of ordering this item in bulk is great. It saves a lot of time and effort going at the grocery store -- one more item you don't have to think about for months at a time. This is a good item and a good deal.

I do not use the tissue holder on top, so I can fit 5 double rolls in it (if you do use the tissue holder for tissues, you can fit 4 double rolls in it). It's very attractive and doesn't look cheap. The only negative about it is that it's not very heavy so when you try to open the door, the whole cabinet moves with it. Well, we just bought some rubber pads for the bottom of the cabinet and that fixed the problem. I would recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)The Brabantia 5L trash can is the best one I've ever bought! I've had this trash can for at least 5 years. I use this size as a compost bucket. No odors escape it, even when we forget to empty it for several days. I have had several larger trash cans that look like this, during my ownership of this can. All the others (different brands) have had the foot pedal give out within a year. I buy a hands free trash can to keep the trash covered, free of curious kitties, AND be able to dump things in it without covering the lid and myself with gooey trash. All the other brands have failed, yet this little can keeps on working. Only recently has the cover begun to stick, which is mostly due to our abuse of it (too much in it, too long, so that it has started to corrode the lid.) The foot pedal still works fine. I am currently purchasing another large trash can (my 5th or 6th). I have purposely sought out Brabantia because I don't care what it costs, IT WORKS! (and I am the ultimate bargain shopper)

The product does not come looking like it does in the picture and I doesn't include the recycling carts. There is a tendency for the cart to flip over forwards when going down an incline (you know, just like a driveway). The order required several phone calls and two deliveries and a return before we had it right. Not a good experience. The product (once you get through the process) is no better than satisfactory. I bought a different product from Amazon [Suncast Recycle Bin Kit BH183PK] that was very good, and the experience was flawless.
