1. this can fits a 13-gallon glad bag PERFECTLY. nothing loose or odd about the fit.
2. the edges grip 13-gallon bags TIGHT! drop something heavy into an empty bag and it stays!
3. push lid to open and stays open. push lid again to close. no wobbly step-on doors. very smooth open.
4. rectangular shape is more space efficient than any other.
5. nice recessed handles.
cons:
1. fingerprint-proof is only on top, not the entire can. no big deal.
2. still pricey but not as much as simplehumans in the same category.i took a 13-gallon glad bag and tried it out on a bunch of simplehumans, none of them fit right. i believe they are designed so that it will fit expensive simplehuman bags and not regular standard trash bags-especially the round and oval cans.
this oxo beat any simplehuman in price and function. and it looks great.
