It soon became evident that his one weakness was the kitchen trash can. Try as we might, we couldn't break him of his infatuation with the slim curves, the hard plastic shell and the cornucopia of goodness held within.
We'd lay awake at night afraid that come morning we'd find a kitchen floor coated with coffee grounds and shredded ice cream cartons. We took turns standing guard each night, but alas as the dawn neared and our eyelids began to droop, inevitably Jack Havoc would rise again and our trash can would fall at his feet in surrender.
The lack of sleep led to bickering and resentment and soon my husband and I found ourselves seeking the help of professional counselors and pastors, but to no avail. Nothing could help the situation. All was lost.
