I ordered the plug-in adapter recommended on amazon, no issues. Where the adapter plugs in is a bit loose. Not sure if this will cause problems down the road but so far, performs to expectation. Order arrived on time, no shipping damages. Highly recommend.

(More customer reviews)Difficult to review an item that I would consider unobtainable. Twice we ordered this BLACK garbage can and twice we got a RED one. I would not have pursued a review but since Amazon was kind enough to send me an automated email asking me to review the item(s) I still never received (2 months later) I figured what the heck. I'm sure it's nice, just not sure if I can get one.
My experiences with this item cover everything from spending over an hour on the phone with Amazon, multiple emails, and two trips to the local UPS shipper. It had it's ups and downs but alas the relationship was never meant to be.

(More customer reviews)Maybe it's just me, but I assumed that the 4 wheels came on a stand or a base. Turns out, for $15, they send you 4 wheels that you have to screw into the base of your trashcan. In general, they roll well, but if the wheels are turned weird, the trashcan slides more than it rolls. On linoleum floors these casters are pretty useless. The trashcan slides easily without scratching my floor. The price isn't anything to brag about and they don't make that much of a difference. It would probably be useful on carpet or textured surfaces. I personally wouldn't buy them again.

I paid around $200 for it and at the time, I thought to myself, I can't believe I'm spending so much on a trash can. But 7 years later, I'm so thankful I did. The touchbin has broken twice by just normal wear and tear, but both times it happened, I simply went on line to the Brabantia website and requested a replacement lid. Sure enough, 4 days later a new lid was delivered. No questions asked and no payment requested. This is a company who stands behind their products and I will be a fan forever. I appreciate my trash can and love how it holds so much.

1. this can fits a 13-gallon glad bag PERFECTLY. nothing loose or odd about the fit.
2. the edges grip 13-gallon bags TIGHT! drop something heavy into an empty bag and it stays!
3. push lid to open and stays open. push lid again to close. no wobbly step-on doors. very smooth open.
4. rectangular shape is more space efficient than any other.
5. nice recessed handles.
cons:
1. fingerprint-proof is only on top, not the entire can. no big deal.
2. still pricey but not as much as simplehumans in the same category.i took a 13-gallon glad bag and tried it out on a bunch of simplehumans, none of them fit right. i believe they are designed so that it will fit expensive simplehuman bags and not regular standard trash bags-especially the round and oval cans.
this oxo beat any simplehuman in price and function. and it looks great.
